This year, we celebrate a special milestone at The Foundation for Enhancing Communities. It highlights the power of collective giving, community spirit and shared vision. In 2025, we mark 25 years of the Fund for Women & Girls, an initiative created to address critical needs and expand opportunities for women and girls throughout our region.
Over the past 25 years, this fund has achieved remarkable things. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and nonprofit partners, the Fund for Women & Girls has distributed over $575,000 in grants, helping more than 17,000 individuals in South Central Pennsylvania. These funds have supported programs providing stable housing for families, mentorship opportunities for girls, resources for survivors of abuse and empowerment for emerging community leaders.
Yet, even as we celebrate these achievements, the work continues.
Women and girls in our region still face significant barriers related to economic stability, personal safety, educational access and growth opportunities. As we look forward to the next 25 years, our vision remains clear and unwavering. We are committed to building an even stronger and more impactful fund, ensuring sustainable support for future generations. This commitment inspired our One Million Strong campaign, with a goal to expand the fund’s endowment beyond $1 million.
