The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) and TheBurg are proud to announce the four nonprofit organizations selected for the Partners in Purpose program.

Created to elevate the stories of local nonprofits serving Dauphin and Cumberland counties, the program provides selected organizations with an in-depth feature story in TheBurg’s print and digital publications at no cost to the nonprofit. Through the partnership, organizations have the opportunity to increase awareness of their work and connect with readers across South Central Pennsylvania.

The 2026 selected nonprofits are:

Organizations were selected through a community-driven review process led by a committee of local residents. Applicants were evaluated based on community impact, alignment with local needs, storytelling potential and the benefit increased visibility could provide to the community.

“We created Partners in Purpose to help shine a light on the important work nonprofits are doing across our region,” said Matt Caylor, vice president of marketing and communication at TFEC. “These organizations represent the strength, compassion and innovation happening in our communities every day, and we are excited to help share their stories.”

TFEC would like to thank the members of the selection committee for their time, insight and commitment to the community:

Each selected nonprofit will work directly with reporters from TheBurg to develop feature stories highlighting their impact on the local community. Stories will appear in upcoming editions of TheBurg and online at TheBurgNews.com.

TFEC launched Partners in Purpose in collaboration with TheBurg to create more opportunities for nonprofits to share authentic stories that build awareness, understanding and community connection.
