League Format for the 2006/7
IHSAA rules will apply with the following exceptions
Five Minute warm-up periods.
18 minute running clock- clock only stops for timeouts. In the last two minutes the clock will operate in traditional
play.
Five minute halftimes (coaches may agree to shorten).
Two minute overtime period. 1 full timeout will be added for each.
Emphasis on playing man-to-man defense.
Timeouts - One 60 and 30 in the 1st half and 2-60 /1-30 in the second.
3rd or 4th grade players may shoot free throws from a 13.5 foot mark.
No full court press, trap or double team outside the 3pt line when a:
5th or 6th grade team has a 20 point lead.
3rd or 4th grade team has a 10 point lead.
BCB requests teams with 20/10 point margin make 5 passes before shooting.
TOURMAMENTS
End of season tournament – Boys and Girls 3rd
to 6th grade
will play a GUARANTEED 2 GAME post season tournament.
UNIFORMS
All teams must have jerseys with visible numbers. Prefer front and back.
No player can play without his uniform. NO EXCEPTIONS
No jewelry can be worn (rings, watches, earrings etc.)
No visible tattoos. Jerseys must remain tucked in.
SPORTSMANSHIP
Each coach is responsible for the conduct of his or her players, assistant coaches, bench personnel, and parents.
Any fighting by players will result in a minimum of 1 game suspension.
If a coach/assistant coach or player receives a technical foul the coaches will be confined to the bench. If a coach
or player receives a second technical foul they will be ejected from the game and must leave the facility. If anyone (including
fans) is ejected twice they may be banned from the league (pending a review from the league officials).
Other
Two coaches and all players will be allowed free admission.
Only two coaches are allowed on the bench.
No refunds once a team plays a game.
Teams with illegal players will forfeit all prior games. Pending an investigation the team maybe ejected from the league.
Roster changes need to be approved by league officials.
3rd or 4th grade players may attempt free throw 18” closer to the basket. It is a violation
only when the player crosses 18” line.
